In the field of 3D metrology, the new GOM V8 SR1 software provides an extended range of functions and enhancements for ATOS, GOM Inspect, GOM Scan, TRITOP and PONTOS Live. The release of the new software is scheduled for January 2016. If you already would like to learn more about some of the new software functionalities, you can attend one of GOM’s webinars in November and December, focusing on four key topics.

  • User Interface, Scanning and Inspection
The user interface has got a new design and allows for an improved intuitive software operation. In addition, functions with regard to scanning and inspection have been improved in order to facilitate creation and analysis of measuring data.
  • GD&T
The V8 SR1 software offers improvements for geometric dimensioning and tolerancing analysis, with the definitions of the current ISO standard being displayed in the GOM software.
  • Virtual Measuring Room (VMR)
The V8 SR1 software has extended possibilities for automatic generation of measurement positions on hemmed edges, sections and airfoils, which can now be realized fully CAD-based. The automatic positioning of measuring parameters simplifies the burn-in process and an Automatic Exposure Time is available.
  • Airfoil Inspection
GOM has expanded airfoil inspection functionalities. The new GOM software version enables even more specific analyses within airfoil applications.

In order to give customers the opportunity to get to know the new software functions, GOM will organize four webinars on the dates specified below:
