Student assistant for or master thesis on the development of a multigrid method (m/f/div)

We need your support for

  • Research on multigrid methods for sparse linear systems of equations
  • Decision which variant (algebraic, geometric or algebraic-geometric) of the multigrid methods is useful for Virtual Clamping
  • Runtime optimization of the implementation or parallelization
  • Determination of the limits of the developed method

Your profile

  • Ongoing Master’s degree or in the final stages of a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or computer science
  • Very good knowledge in numerical mathematics, especially in the areas of algorithms with the smallest runtime complexity and parallelization
  • Programming knowledge in C++ required and in MATLAB desirable
  • Independent, responsible and structured work style
