ATOS Professional System Basic Training

In the three-day training course, participants learn all basic strategies for working with an ATOS sensor and the ATOS Professional software. The training course comprises an acquisition module and an inspection module.

In the acquisition module, participants learn how to digitize a measuring object with an ATOS sensor based on different measuring strategies. Under the guidance of an experienced GOM trainer, participants carry out practical exercises with the ATOS system and create a 3D model of an exemplary measuring object during the first day of the training.

In the inspection module, participants learn all basics required for evaluating digitized measuring objects. Based on the created 3D model, they perform inspection tasks of varying complexity and analyze, for example, distances, diameters and angles of the measuring objects.

  • ATOS – introduction to the sensor and software
  • Digitization of measuring objects
  • Simple inspection and parametric inspection
  • Inspection planning on nominal data – working with project templates
  • Creation of reports
  • Sensor handling and measurement strategies
  • Set up and calibration of hardware
  • Changing the measuring volume of the ATOS sensor
  • Preparing measuring objects with reference points
  • Measuring without reference points
  • Processing of measured data
  • Alignment methods
  • Working with tables and diagrams
  • Measuring with an automated rotation table
  • Creation of trend analyses
  • Creation of user-defined inspections
  • Exchange of data
