They ensure that sources of error are identified at an early stage and previously defined quality requirements for a product are met. The automated measuring systems from GOM produce absolutely accurate and traceable measuring results and provide the data needed for production control loops. For quality assurance during series production of small and large components, GOM offers the ideal solution with its optical 3D coordinate measuring machine ATOS ScanBox. The various ATOS ScanBox models are equipped with the high-resolution ATOS sensors, which provide full-field 3D coordinates with every scan. Individual measurements with up to 12 million 3D measuring points are used to create a digital copy, the digital twin of the part. Based on the digital twin, the quality of the part can be evaluated better. Depending on the ATOS ScanBox model, different working areas can be integrated or parts can be fully automatically loaded and unloaded, which further increases the throughput in series production.
