Optical 3D coordinate measuring technology from GOM is ideally suited for full-surface measurements of complex geometries and freeform surfaces of Pelton, Francis and Kaplan turbines. Form tolerances in blade geometries as well as the distance and angular position of individual blades to each other can be analyzed to ensure low-vibration rotation of turbines. In addition, reverse engineering and a golden master are ways of increasing turbine efficiency significantly. GOM's reliable and robust measurement technology delivers fast and comprehensible results, especially when analyzing problems in an assembled state.
