Measuring and inspecting an airfoil can be a challenging and time consuming task. The ATOS ScanBox and GOM software provide functionalities that enable you to measure and inspect an airfoil fast. In this training, you learn how to realize a complete ATOS ScanBox process from scratch for a single airfoil represented by an HP turbine blade of an industrial gas turbine. First, you learn how to create an inspection plan according to the technical drawing covering the most common airfoil inspections such as chord, profile thicknesses, form and position. From the inspection plan, you continue to create an ATOS ScanBox process using Smart Teach for creating measurement positions for photogrammetry and ATOS. Finally, you learn how to confirm the robustness of your process regarding mesh and inspection element repeatability.
