GOM Workshop: Validation of FE-simulations with optical 3D measurement techniques

June 15, 2010
10am - 4pm

Steigenberger Airport Hotel
Unterschweinstiege 16
60549 Frankfurt/Main

The workshop will be held in German language.

As part of product development chains FE-simulations are essential tools. The verification of numerical simulations is nowadays more often realized with optical measuring techniques. Point wise and full-field results from 3D shape and deformation measurements are used for this comparison.

The GOM workshop offers users and interested persons a forum to discuss the current developments and experience more about

  • the numerical comparison of 3D shape and deformation measurement results
  • the use of optically measured 3D shapes as FE input geometry
  • the determination of material parameters for the FE simulation

During the GOM workshop you will gain valuable information from practical contributions from companies and research facilities, e.g. Salzgitter Mannesmann Forschung and the Chair of Manufacturing Technology at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg.

The GOM Team will introduce you in the optical 3D measurement techniques and newest developments.
