Use of optical measurement techniques in furniture designUse of optical measurement techniques in furniture design

Systèmes de mesure: ARAMIS, TRITOP

Keywords: Wood properties, wooden structure, timber

The process of furniture design can be made much more efficient by use of optical scanning for determining the geometry of a structure, and of optical techniques for deformation measurement of materials and structures loaded in different ways. Optical scanning can substantially reduce the time elapsing between the approval of a prototype and the start of its production.
Complete deformation measurement using multiple ARAMIS sensorsComplete deformation measurement using multiple ARAMIS sensors

Systèmes de mesure: ARAMIS, TRITOP

Keywords: cylinder measurement, buckling

Multiple high speed ARAMIS sensors are used to measure the buckling and post-buckling behaviour of a thin walled CFRP cylinder at DLR (German Aerospace Center).
Measurement of the Load Transfer from a bolt into a CFK panelMeasurement of the Load Transfer from a bolt into a CFK panel

Systèmes de mesure: ARAMIS

Keywords: bonded specimen, bolted

Verification of numerical models to predict the Load Transfer from a bolt into a CFK panel and the determination of the variance of the results.
Measurement of deformation during the welding processMeasurement of deformation during the welding process

Systèmes de mesure: ARAMIS, ESPI

Keywords: welding seam

Due to its high sensitivity, ESPI is used to determine the development of the deformations in short intervals, during the welding process. The determination of the complete deformation and the deformation during the cooling-down period is measured with the grating method (ARAMIS).
